Lake Mac & Kingsley Dam & Stars…

Lake McConaughy is located 9 miles north of Ogallala, Nebraska, near U.S. Highway 26 and Nebraska Highway 61, about 228 miles away from Denver, Colorado. It’s Nebraska’s biggest lake and the largest reservoir in a three state region (Colorado – Kansas – Nebraska). The lake offers natural white sand beaches, excellent fishing, boating, wind surfing, scuba diving, camping and all types of outdoor recreation.

Lake Mac was part of our things-to-see list on our road trip while we were returning from South Dakota to Denver. Once we arrived the lake, on a cold winter’s evening; the frozen lake, the humble Kingsley Dam and the luminous stars were already team up and about to prepare this stunning view for us.
